  1. 1. In Florida, what is the youngest age at which you can get a learner's license?

    Show the answer

    Answer: B. 15

Florida lets you apply for a learner's license once you are 15. You also need the TLSAE course and passing scores on the vision and knowledge exams.

  2. 2. When you drive with a Florida learner's license, who must be with you?

    Show the answer

Answer: D. A licensed driver age 21 or older, in the front seat beside you

A learner always needs a licensed driver who is at least 21, sitting in the passenger seat right next to the driver. Never drive alone on a learner's license.

  3. 3. A 16-year-old has held a Florida learner's license for 12 months and now wants a driver license. How many moving violation convictions may they have from that first year?

    Show the answer

Answer: B. None, except one violation where adjudication was withheld

Drivers under 18 need a clean first year: no moving violation convictions in the 12 months after the learner's license was issued. The one allowance is a single violation where adjudication was withheld.

Drivers under 18 must keep the learner's license for 12 months, or until their 18th birthday if that comes sooner, before they can get a driver license.

    Show the answer

    Answer: C. 10 hours

Of the 50 supervised hours, at least 10 have to be driven at night. A parent, guardian or responsible adult 21 or older signs off on them.

  7. 7. You are found at fault in a crash, and it is your second crash in two years. What does Florida law require of you?

  8. 8. A 17-year-old driver piles up 6 points on their record within 12 months. What happens?

    Show the answer

  9. 9. Under Florida's zero tolerance rule, what is the lowest alcohol level at which a driver under 21 automatically loses their license for six months?

For drivers under 21, even a small amount counts: .02 or higher means an automatic six-month suspension. The safe choice is not to drink at all before driving.

  10. 10. An adult driver is arrested for DUI. What is the lowest breath or blood alcohol level at which their license is suspended right at the time of arrest?
