Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of Driving Test Practice at drivingtestpractice.app (“the site”). By using the site you agree to them.

1. What the site is

The site has practice questions for the written knowledge test that US states give before a learner permit, for the states listed on its home page. The questions are written in our own words from each state’s official driver handbook and from the federal sign manual. They are for study.

2. Not the official test, and not part of any agency

The site is independent. It is not run by, linked to or approved by any state department of motor vehicles or any other government agency, and our questions are not the questions on any real test. Your state’s handbook and agency decide what the real test asks and what the law is.

3. Laws change: check your state

We read each handbook on the date shown on its page, and every answer names its source. States change their laws, tests and handbooks; before you take the test or drive, check the current handbook and your state agency’s site. Nothing on the site is legal advice or driving instruction, and practising here does not replace lessons or supervised driving.

4. No promise of a result

A practice score shows how you did on our questions, measured against your state’s pass mark. It does not predict or guarantee your result on the real test.

5. The Pass Pack, payment and refunds

The Pass Pack (US$9.99, one payment) opens all of the site’s practice questions for every state, the full exams and the review of missed questions, in your browser: on this device, and on any other with your Pass Pack link (the address of the thank-you page after payment; keep it, as Stripe’s receipt does not carry it). If you lose it, email us your receipt and we send it again. The Pass Pack lasts for as long as the site offers it, and we will give at least 30 days’ notice on this page before it is withdrawn. You pay on Stripe’s secure page; any sales tax is shown there before you pay, and Stripe emails the receipt. It is not a subscription and does not renew. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to buy it. Refunds: 30 days, no questions asked. Email hello@drivingtestpractice.app with the receipt and the refund goes back the way you paid.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not try to disrupt, overload or break the site.
• Do not use bots or scrapers to copy the questions, free or paid, and do not share the paid questions or your Pass Pack link publicly.
• Do not use the site for anything unlawful.

7. Content and ownership

The questions, explanations, sign drawings, text, design and code belong to us. The facts they are written from belong to no one, and the handbooks belong to their states. Quoting a short passage of our text with a link to the page is welcome.

8. No warranty

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep every question correct and the site available, but we do not promise that it will be error-free or always online. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site.

10. Advertising

The site shows ads from Google AdSense and one promotion for StudyLah. Advertisers are responsible for their own content. See our privacy policy.

11. Changes

We may change these terms by updating this page and the date at the top. Your continued use of the site means you accept the new terms.
